Blue Tongues Drop 4 Straight

The Blue Tongues traveled to Canberra and Sydney over the weekend in an attempt to pick up some points after dropping the 2 games last weekend. Saturdays game ended in a 4-3 defeat to the Canberra Knights, with Dave Upton scoring all 3 goals for the Tongues. The Supporters Club would like to offer our congratulations to Davie. Unfortunately, the game was overshadowed by bad penalties and an ugly incident on the benches.

The team traveled to Sydney on Sunday to face the Ice Dogs. In a game that contained 3 fights and tons of penalties, the Blue Tongues were dominated by the much stronger Ice Dogs team, losing 10-2 at the end of the game. Import goalie Simo Mustonen was pulled after the first period, after letting in 6 goals in the opening frame.

More details of the games can be found on hockeypulse, and the Blue Tongues website.
